CFL Game Predictions for week 18
Last Week: 2-2
Season: 44-24
Saskatchewan at British Columbia
B.C. has been at the top of the standings from wire-to-wire, and the 'Riders have been
in the outhouse. Guess who wins this week? Sask 21, B.C. 35.
Edmonton at Toronto
This one is the tough pick of the week. Both of these teams look like they're putting
it together one week, and then the next game they look like the definition of mediocre.
I have to expect the Toronto 'D' stopping Edmonton's one-dimensional offense at home.
But, will the Argos score enough points? Then there are Edmonton's special teams to contend
with. Also, this game means little to Toronto & everything
to the Eskimos. Edmonton 24, Toronto 22.
Calgary at Hamilton
The Stamps seem to be picking up their game in time for the playoffs. But to catch B.C.
for first place, they'll have to hope Saskatchewan beats the Lions on Friday. We already
know that won't happen, so by the time these two teams take to the field, first place in each
division will have been decided. Hamilton misfired against those Leos last week, but they have
been very good at Ivor Wynne this year. I pick the Tiger-Cats to get the bad taste of last
week out of their mouths. Calgary 24, Hamilton 30.
Winnipeg at Montreal
Winnipeg has managed two miracle wins at home in the last three weeks, and appears to be
the team of destiny. Only problem is, it's a mirage. Montreal will want to tune up for the
playoffs, and the Bombers are going to run out of gas. Winnipeg 22, Montreal 30. (But look
for some excitement if Toronto beats Edmonton!)
